Phillips Murrah's Paying It Forward amplifies the message of one non-profit organization each month, all year long.
In Dec. 2020, Phillips Murrah partnered with Oklahoma NPR radio station KGOU to sponsor broadcast announcements each month that shine a light on a selected non-profit organization. Our aim is to amplify each beneficiary organizations’ needs and goals, and to help increase awareness, drive volunteer quality and quantity, assist in fundraising support, and improve capacity to deliver service to the community.
Our Paying it Forward beneficiary in January 2025 is The Dragonfly Home. #PIFOKC
The Dragonfly Home
January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month in the United States, a time dedicated to raising awareness about human trafficking and empowering communities to recognize and prevent this crime. Since 2010, the President has proclaimed January as a month of education and action, with the U.S. Department of State working alongside U.S. embassies and consulates to address human trafficking at home and abroad.
This January, Phillips Murrah is honored to support The Dragonfly Home as our Paying it Forward beneficiary. Human trafficking affects countless individuals, each with their own story of perseverance and strength. At The Dragonfly Home, survivors are met with compassion, understanding, and unwavering support as they rebuild their lives.
The Dragonfly Home provides free, trauma-informed services tailored to the needs of victim-survivors of human trafficking, including sex and labor trafficking. They welcome people of all genders, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals, individuals aged 15 and up, as well as children and families impacted by trafficking. Their only requirement is that an individual has experienced some form of human trafficking.
By offering completely free services, The Dragonfly Home ensures that everyone seeking their help can focus entirely on their path to healing.
