Phillips Murrah’s Paying It Forward amplifies the message of one non-profit each month, all year long

Since December of 2020, Phillips Murrah has partnered with National Public Radio (NPR) to sponsor broadcast announcements each month that shine a light on a selected non-profit organization. Our aim is to amplify each beneficiary organizations’ needs and goals. Paying it Forward seeks to enhance each beneficiary’s capacity to deliver service to the community by helping increase awareness, assist in fundraising support, and drive volunteer/membership quality and quantity. The reach of Phillips Murrah’s Paying It Forward program is market-wide in Oklahoma City through partnering with our two major NPR stations, KGOU and KOSU.

Our Paying it Forward beneficiary in November is Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. #PIFOKC

Oklahoma is the fifth hungriest state in the nation. The majority of people served by the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma are chronically hungry children, seniors living on limited incomes and hardworking families struggling to make ends meet.

Founded in 1980, the Regional Food Bank distributes food and other products through a network of nearly 1,300 charitable feeding programs, including community-based partner agencies, schools and community organizations. The Regional Food Bank not only distributes food, it is a leader in educating the public on hunger, advocating for those living with hunger and providing access to additional resources.

With a mission to lead a network that provides nutritious food and pathways to self-sufficiency for people facing hunger. In 2023, RFB continues to distribute million of pounds of food to people facing hunger.
