Since 2020, Phillips Murrah's Paying It Forward initiative has helped amplify the message of one Oklahoma City non-profit organization each month, all year long.
In December of 2020, Phillips Murrah partnered with Oklahoma NPR radio station KGOU to sponsor 30+ monthly radio announcements that help shine a spotlight on selected non-profit organizations. Our aim is to amplify each beneficiary organizations’ needs and goals, and to help increase awareness, drive volunteer interest, assist in fundraising support, and improve capacity to deliver service to the community.
Our Paying it Forward beneficiary in August 2024 is Sunbeam Family Services. #PIFOKC
Sunbeam Family Services

August is back-to-school time, and Phillips Murrah knows it can be a challenging time of year because the cost of school supplies can add up fast. That’s why Phillips Murrah is proud to support Sunbeam Family Services as our August 2024 Paying it Forward beneficiary – in particular, Sunbeam’s Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) program. Grandfamilies face unique challenges, and Sunbeam Family Services empowers grandparents who are raising their grandchildren by offering support groups, school supply assistance, holiday assistance, and other resources. Recently, Sunbeam Family Services’ GRG program gave away over 400 new backpacks stuffed with school supplies to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. More than 175 grandfamilies chose a new backpack to start the year off prepared. You can see Channel 9 coverage of the backpacks give-away event HERE.
AUGUST DONATION MATCHING
In August, Sunbeam is also offering an additional incentive. Through September 1, donations to Sunbeam are matched up to $15,000!
