Phillips Murrah's Paying It Forward amplifies the message of one non-profit organization each month, all year long.

In Dec. 2020, Phillips Murrah partnered with Oklahoma NPR radio station KGOU to sponsor broadcast announcements each month that shine a light on a selected non-profit organization. Our aim is to amplify each beneficiary organizations’ needs and goals, and to help increase awareness, drive volunteer quality and quantity, assist in fundraising support, and improve capacity to deliver service to the community.

Our Paying it Forward beneficiary in May 2024 is Mental Health Association Oklahoma #PIFOKC

Mental Health Association Oklahoma

May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States. This initiative was established in 1949 to increase awareness about the significance of mental health and wellness in Americans’ lives and to celebrate recovery from mental illness.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Phillips Murrah takes pride in supporting Mental Health Association Oklahoma as our May Paying it Forward beneficiary.

Initially chartered in 1955 as a Tulsa-area regional affiliate of the National Mental Health Association, it grew beyond Tulsa. In 2014, it expanded statewide, opening its first office in Oklahoma City and rebranding itself as Mental Health Association Oklahoma (MHAOK). Today, MHAOK continues its mission to promote mental health, prevent suicide, end homelessness, and transform the justice system.
