Phillips Murrah is excited to share that attorneys Colby D. Karcher and Stassi M. Vullo are recognized by NextGen Under 30 in the Law category.

Colby is an associate attorney in Phillips Murrah’s Litigation Practice Group, where he represents individuals as well as privately held and public companies in a variety of complex civil litigation matters, ranging from medical malpractice defense to oil and gas litigation. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he was a Merit Scholar, appeared on the Faculty and Dean’s Honor Roll, received five CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, and served on Law Review. He is also a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. Before law school, Colby graduated summa cum laude from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, where he was a member of the President’s Leadership Class, Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society, and competed on the men’s golf team.
Colby is actively involved in the community, including volunteering at the Phillips Murrah Booth during Midtown’s 2025 Walkabout, bowling to support Big Brothers Big Sisters, serving on the Young Professionals Board of the Care Center, and enjoys giving back through service projects. Outside of his professional work, Colby likes playing golf, helping on his family’s farm near Stillwater, and spending time with his wife and their dog, Ted.
“I’m honored to receive this award, and a big thank you to those who nominated me,” said Colby. “I’m excited to be included alongside such a great group of recipients, and it means a lot to have the support of colleagues and clients and for the chance to do work I’m passionate about every day.”
Stassi M. Vullo is an associate attorney who represents individuals, as well as privately held and public companies, in business law, real estate, and employment matters. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2024, where she served as Assistant Executive Editor of the American Indian Law Review. While in law school, she was a Comfort Top Ten Scholar, earned the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Business & Corporate Law Section Award, was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and received eight American Jurisprudence awards for highest grades in subjects including Corporations, Evidence, Secured Transactions, and Unincorporated Business Entities. She also served as a 1L student mentor, was consistently on the Dean’s Honor Roll, and acted as Treasurer for the student chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Prior to law school, Stassi worked for four years as a Consumer Development Manager in the transportation industry, where she coordinated the expansion of her company’s agency partnership program and drove revenue growth.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 2017. Admitted to practice in Oklahoma, Stassi is involved in legal and professional organizations related to her areas of practice. Aside from her legal work, she stays dedicated to community involvement and professional service, engaging in broader discussions on employment law.
NextGen Under 30, which recognizes top-performing Oklahomans under 30 across various industries, accepts nominations each year to showcase the achievements of individuals showing remarkable talent, drive, and dedication to their communities.
