Biography

Nate Blackburn is a Shareholder and Director in the Dallas office of Phillips Murrah, focusing his practice on corporate and real estate transactions. Nate assists clients with matters relating to real estate purchases and sales, development, title review, financing and leasing, as well as corporate transactions including formation and governance, borrowing and lending, asset and equity sales, workouts and general corporate counsel to small and medium sized companies.

In Nate’s real estate practice, he represents local and national real estate developers, lenders, borrowers, investors, landlords, tenants, receivers and other corporate clients on a range of projects including apartments and condominiums, industrial, office, multi-family residential, retail, and shopping centers.  His corporate practice includes representation of a wide variety of midmarket clients as asset and equity sellers, buyers, lenders and borrowers.

Prior to joining Phillips Murrah, Nate was a founding partner of the Dallas law firm Blackwell, Blackburn, Herring & Singer. Earlier in his career, he practiced as a corporate and real estate transactions attorney at law firms located in Phoenix, Arizona, and Dallas, Texas.

He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oklahoma School of Law in 2007, and his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma in 2000.
