On Sunday, April 12, just before tip-off of the final game of the 2025-2026 regular season, four Phillips Murrah attorneys walked out to center court to present a donation check for $23,500 to the Thunder Community Foundation. The donation is the current-season total resulting from Phillips Murrah’s Blocks for Bucks campaign.
The premise of Blocks for Bucks is, for each blocked shot by the Thunder at home games during the regular season, Phillips Murrah donates $100 to the Thunder Community Foundation. Phillips Murrah has now donated a total of just over $170,000 in eight seasons of our Blocks for Bucks partnership.
Presenting the check were (from left) OKC Thunder Vice President of Community Engagement and Executive Director of Thunder Community Foundation, Erin Oldfield and Phillips Murrah Directors, Jennifer Christian, Kayla Kuri, Mark Lovelace, and Jennifer Miller.
“It was so much fun getting to represent Phillips Murrah in the Blocks for Bucks check presentation at the Thunder game,” Kayla said. “Every block of the season was that much more exciting knowing it would translate into real dollars for our community, and we are grateful to the Thunder Community Foundation for letting us play a part in that. We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come, and of course, more reasons to celebrate the Thunder’s elite defense!”
