
Phillips Murrah is proud to welcome Justin P. Grose and Madeline M. Nelson to the Firm’s Oklahoma City Office.
Justin Grose is a trial lawyer specializing in labor and employment law and civil litigation in state and federal courts, including appellate work before the Oklahoma appellate courts and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Before joining Phillips Murrah, Justin was a Shareholder at a national labor and employment firm, where he defended and advised employers on a wide range of workplace issues. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General, representing state agencies and employees in tort claims, civil rights allegations, employment disputes, and constitutional challenges.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll, received an American Jurisprudence Award in Environmental Law, and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He served as a Note Editor for the American Indian Law Review and competed on the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team, winning the 2012 San Francisco Regional Championship. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma.
Madeline Nelson is a litigator who represents clients in insurance defense and coverage, car dealership defense, and general commercial litigation. She also maintains an active transactional practice, including entity formation, estate planning, probate, and the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts and leases.
Before joining Phillips Murrah, Madeline spent several years practicing civil litigation, focusing on consumer law, insurance defense, products liability, and premises liability.
While in law school, Madeline earned her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where she was recognized as a Merit Scholar and CALI Award recipient and was named to the Dean’s List. She was an active member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Advancement of Women in Law, and the Animal Law Group, and further distinguished herself through an externship with the Oklahoma Supreme Court and an internship at a mid-size civil litigation firm in Oklahoma City.
