Yvette Perilla, a Junior at the University of Oklahoma majoring in Architecture, was awarded Phillips Murrah’s 2025 Shannon K. Emmons Memorial Scholarship. Phillips Murrah is honored to continue its support of the Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA) through its annual scholarship program, a meaningful partnership now in its fourth year.
Since 2021, the Firm has made contributions in observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month and in loving memory of Shannon K. Emmons, a distinguished Director at Phillips Murrah. At the time of her passing in 2018, she was serving as Vice Chairman and was an integral member of the LCDA’s Governance Committee. Her steadfast dedication to community service and advocacy continues to inspire the mission of this scholarship.
The Latino Community Development Agency offers essential services to Latino families, employing a comprehensive approach to physical, mental, and behavioral health care for infants, children, and adolescents. Its commitment to holistic well-being also extends to higher education, offering scholarships that help create meaningful opportunities for future generations.
The Phillips Murrah Shannon K. Emmons Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to the following recipients:
- 2023: Mr. Adrian Ibarra Alonso, graduate of Santa Fe South High School
- 2024: Ms. Stephanie Rose Castillo, University of Oklahoma
- 2025: Ms. Yvette Perilla, University of Oklahoma
