Phillips Murrah proudly sponsored the OU Law 2024 Order of the Owl Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction on Feb. 22. The annual event recognizes OU Law alumni for demonstrating leadership and service through outstanding career accomplishments. Since the Order of the Owl’s inception in 2011, 37 alumni have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
“The Order of the Owl honors and celebrates OU Law alumni whose leadership and service have become a beacon of professional achievement and influence,” said Austin T. Ray, Phillips Murrah attorney and OU Law alumnus. “It also gives the greater legal community an annual opportunity for meaningful introspection: What needs exist in my realm of influence? What can I do today to help? How can I be a reliable benefactor going forward? I’m glad Phillips Murrah sponsors this admirable and worthwhile cause.”
Attending the event, held at the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom in the Oklahoma Memorial Union on the OU campus, were Phillips Murrah attorneys Dawn M. This year’s Order of the Owl honorees are:
- Jari Askins, lieutenant governor of the state of Oklahoma,
- Melvin Hall, executive director of the Oklahoma Human Rights Commission
- Terence Kern, chief judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma
- Clark Musser, oil and gas attorney and recipient of the Eugene Kuntz Award
- Natalie Shirley, chair of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents
