On Tuesday, Phillips Murrah attorneys attended Positive Tomorrows’ 2023 Gold Star Luncheon, an annual fundraiser held each year on Giving Tuesday. Money raised from the luncheon provides valuable operating support for Positive Tomorrows’ school, which enables children to receive a quality education and have their basic needs met while their parents work to create bright futures for their families.

“The luncheon is always inspiring and often tear-filled, with donors happily contributing financially to the success of Positive Tomorrows’ mission,” Nikki said.

Phillips Murrah Director Nikki Edwards has been an active Positive Tomorrows supporter for over 25 years. Since 1997, Nikki has dedicated time and resources to helping the school become the stalwart, successful community resource it is today. Over the years, she has assisted with fundraising and served on the Board of Directors – including as Chairman of the Board in 2019, the same year Positive Tomorrows opened their new, 30,000+ sq. ft. facility.

“Not only do I serve on the Board, but I also served as a Table Captain at this event, along with Camille Burge, yielding a three-table record,” Nikki added.

Positive Tomorrows is Oklahoma’s only elementary school that serves children experiencing homelessness. The school provides a unique blend of educational and social services to children and families experiencing homelessness in hopes of providing quality education despite unstable circumstances.
