OCU’s Alumni Association presented Phillips Murrah law firm with the Law Firm of Distinction award on April 22. OKC Mayor David Holt emceed the event and presented the award to Phillips Murrah attorneys.
Oklahoma City University School of Law designated Phillips Murrah law firm as a Law Firm of Distinction at its annual awards ceremony hosted by the university’s alumni association on April 22.
“Phillips Murrah is honored and proud to be selected as Oklahoma City University’s Law Firm of Distinction,” Director Fred A. Leibrock said. “Phillips Murrah treasures its relationship with my alma mater, OCU Law, and the Firm is fortunate to be able to engage with OCU students as they train to become high quality legal practitioners.”
The OCU Law Alumni Association Board of Directors comments about the Firm:
“Phillips Murrah has an established history of commitment to the Oklahoma legal profession with their proven dedication to the advancement of ethical, thoughtful, and compassionate legal practitioners. Most importantly, Phillips Murrah has taken a leading role in promoting the overall well-being of Oklahomans. Even beyond their generous charitable sponsorships and donations, since December 2020 — the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Phillips Murrah partnered with KGOU in a campaign to promote local nonprofits. Phillips Murrah’s commitment to Oklahoma lawyers and residents is deserving of the highest recognition.”
This distinction is awarded to a law firm who has a history of hiring OCU Law alumni, mentoring OCU Law students, participating in externship programs for OCU Law students, and/or contributes monetarily or otherwise to the success of the OCU Law.
The Firm previously received this recognition in 2007 as Phillips, McFall, McCaffrey, McVay & Murrah prior to renaming as Phillips Murrah.
