Attorneys at Phillips Murrah supported local families this holiday season by collecting donations for the Oklahoma Family Network. The firm raised more than $7,000 for the 2021 holiday season, culminating in a group effort to wrap presents on Dec. 20.
“Phillips Murrah employees raised a record-breaking amount of more than $5,000, and with a contribution from Firm for $2,000, we were able to spend over $7,000 to help these families not only have a great holiday but also meet some of their everyday needs,” Attorney and co-coordinator Erica Halley Blackstock said. “In addition, Focus on Home Inc., a local nonprofit, generously donated a bed and bedding for one of the Firm’s adopted families and is also working to find permanent housing for another.
“As we know, the holiday season can be especially difficult for many families. I am proud to work at a firm whose employees come together year after year to lend a helping hand and share a little holiday spirit with those who need it most.”
The Oklahoma Family Network serves families whose members are critically ill or have other health issues or disabilities. Phillips Murrah raises funds to buy gifts for families and provide funds to OFN for emergency medical bills, food shopping, utility payments and other basic needs each year.
