Phillips Murrah’s rowing team, Law and Oarder, competed Friday, Oct. 2, in the 500-meter race at the Oklahoma Regatta Festival. This year’s Law and Oarder team consisted of Phillips Murrah staff members Deena Baker, Trevor Dawson-Shields, Sam Lincoln, Janeth Rivera, and Tyler Sullivan.

The team placed 2nd in their heat with a time of 2:12, 14 seconds faster than last year.

“With one brand new rower, Janeth, proving her determination to learn the sport, team Law and Oarder has greatly improved this season in timing and skill,” said team captain Deena M. Baker. “I always love when we have someone new join the team and stay with the team. A special shoutout to G. Calvin Sharpe, one of the attorneys who kept the team going when Phillips Murrah first joined the Adult Rowing League in 2014. We love you, G., and thank you!”

With the 2026 season now coming to a close, Law and Oarder will take a well-deserved break before returning to the water. The team looks ahead to the 2027 Spring Season, running March 23 through June 15, with the Championship Race at the Stars and Stripes Regatta, followed by the Fall Season from July 6 through September 21, culminating in the Championship Race at the Oklahoma Regatta Festival.
