Phillips Murrah is pleased to welcome Jeff C. Grotta to the Firm’s Oklahoma City office.
Jeff serves as Of Counsel at Phillips Murrah, concentrating his practice in litigation in federal and state courts and the drafting of warranties, terms and conditions of sale and purchase, and acquisition contracts. He represents clients in the insurance and manufacturing industries, bringing over 32 years of litigation experience across Oklahoma, 23 other state courts, 10 federal district courts, and 4 federal courts of appeal.
Jeff earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Phillips Murrah, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Bana Blasdel of the Western District of Oklahoma, the Honorable Judge Reta M. Strubhar of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals, and as a Student Law Clerk for the Honorable Justice Marian P. Opala of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
Outside the office, Jeff is involved with the Curbside Chronicle and the City Rescue Mission. A student of Russian language and history, he has traveled to the Soviet Union and Russia and served as an Adjunct Professor of Russian History at Oklahoma City University. He enjoys ice hockey, travel, and reading, and shares his life with his three adult children and three dogs.
