Phillips Murrah Director Cody J. Cooper recently served as moderator at the ALFA International Business Litigation Practice Group Seminar, held June 3-5, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia.
This year’s seminar centered on the theme “Business Litigation at Midnight: Strategy and Judgment in the Garden of Good and Evil,” examining how modern commercial litigators must navigate a complex landscape where technology, perception, and strategy come together.
Cody led a session called “Navigating Regulatory Shifts: When Political Change Becomes a Litigation Risk,” discussing how changing political climates can trigger commercial disputes, litigation risks, and international conflicts. The panel included Caroline Keller, General Counsel at Macrosource LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, and Christin Krämer from Tiefenbacher in Heidelberg, Germany. They examined governance and compliance tactics to handle regulatory uncertainty, improve litigation readiness, and safeguard business objectives during conflicts.
