As Phillips Murrah celebrates 40 years of service, we’re highlighting the people whose work has helped shape the firm along the way. In this 40 for 40 Profile, we spotlight Kelsey Chilcoat and the perspective she brings to her role and to the firm’s culture.
Kelsey was drawn to Phillips Murrah from the start by the firm’s variety of practice areas and opportunities. She was also impressed by the number of accomplished female attorneys here and eager to work with women she looked up to and viewed as mentors. The firm’s strong resources, wide client base, progressive culture, and collegial atmosphere were a winning combination.
Outside of the office, Kelsey finds that being a mom to her young daughter is a boundless privilege, but also grounding and humbling. She finds a strong sense of self and perspective in raising a future citizen of the world, and that outlook helps keep her perspective and balance.
Four years into her tenure at PM, Kelsey is still struck by the vigorous growth mindset held among the Directors. The firm grew from a small number of attorneys to one of the largest in the city, and as she looks ahead to the next 40 years, one thing is clear: the firm is not stopping now.
