As Phillips Murrah celebrates 40 years of service, we’re highlighting the people whose work has helped shape the firm along the way. In this 40 for 40 Profile, we spotlight Phoebe Barber and the perspective she brings to her role and to the firm’s culture.
Phoebe has always loved problem-solving, and pursuing a career in law felt like the perfect way to develop creative and practical solutions to complex problems while helping others navigate difficult situations. When it came to choosing a firm, the number of women in leadership positions at Phillips Murrah was what originally drew her in. During the interview process, she found herself forming genuine connections with the attorneys who would later become her mentors, relationships that remain meaningful to her today.
As the firm looks ahead to its next 40 years, Phoebe brings a perspective shaped by seven years of watching it grow and evolve in meaningful ways. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: leadership’s commitment to being forward-thinking and always looking toward the future. She sees that mindset perfectly reflected in the firm’s new building, which represents both how far Phillips Murrah has come and the exciting direction it continues to move in.
