In recognition and celebration of Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Heritage Month, Phillips Murrah was honored to host Nunu Farhood, founder of Nunu’s Mediterranean Cafe, for a special midday presentation.
During the presentation, Ms. Farhood shared the story of her family’s journey and the rich cultural traditions that inspired her to bring authentic Lebanese cuisine to Oklahoma City. Her talk provided a meaningful look into a heritage characterized by hospitality, generosity, and a deep respect for family. After her remarks, Ms. Farhood kindly welcomed questions from the audience, sparking an engaging and thoughtful discussion that went beyond the presentation.
The event was enhanced by a catered lunch from Nunu’s Mediterranean Cafe, giving attendees the chance to taste and enjoy the flavors and traditions Ms. Farhood spoke about so passionately.
Family has always been central to Ms. Farhood’s passion for cooking and entertaining. The restaurant’s recipes have been handed down through generations, prepared and served with only the finest ingredients. In Lebanese culture, cooking is one of the most meaningful ways to show love, and at Nunu’s Mediterranean Cafe, each meal invites guests to share in that cherished tradition.
