Phillips Murrah is excited to honor National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the contributions of our Hispanic attorneys and staff. As part of this celebration, our Dallas office participated in its 2nd Annual P|M Dallas Serving Day, where the team volunteered at the Jubilee Park and Community Center food pantry.
“Our Firm is proud to support Jubilee and its efforts to enhance the lives of families in the Jubilee Park Neighborhood,” said Director Michele Spillman. “Through its after-school programs for children and teens – sports programs, fitness classes, a community center, a 3-acre park, two Head Start schools, a food pantry, a clinic, senior housing, financial coaching, job search assistance programs, and parent support resources – Jubilee has played a crucial role in revitalizing the neighborhood. We commend their efforts in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.”
Jubilee was founded in 1997 as an after-school program for children in the Jubilee Park Neighborhood in Southeast Dallas, an area with a 99 percent minority population. The majority of families are Hispanic working poor who are under-served in terms of education and health resources.
Jubilee Park’s mission is to spark revitalization and support for the Jubilee Park Neighborhood, a 62-block area in Southeast Dallas. Many of the families in this community face significant challenges, particularly in education and healthcare access.
Jubilee Park addresses these needs by offering high-quality after-school and summer programs, helping families access critical resources, and promoting community engagement and cultural understanding.
