Phillips Murrah recently Sponsored the OSPSP’s Reach for the Stars Event, which was held on September 12. Attorneys Daisy Borders, Director Nikki Edwards, and Director Candy Lisle attended, which was held at St. Luke Methodist Church. This year’s speaker was New York Times Bestselling Author Stephanie Land.
Stephanie Land is an American author and activist known for her work on social and economic justice. Her bestselling memoir Maid was adapted into a hit Netflix series, which brought widespread attention to issues of poverty and domestic labor. Land’s second memoir, Class, continues her exploration of economic hardship, earning critical acclaim and recognition as one of the best books of 2023. As a public speaker, she has addressed thousands on topics such as homelessness, food insecurity, and domestic violence, while also serving as an ambassador for the National Domestic Workers Alliance.
