Phillips Murrah names three new Directors for 2024

The law firm of Phillips Murrah proudly announces that attorneys Kayla M. Kuri, Mark E. Hornbeek, and Amy D. White have been elected by the Firm’s Shareholders as new Directors. Their appointments were made effective January 1, 2024, bringing the total number of Directors in the Firm to 42.

Kuri is a corporate attorney who represents clients in a wide range of commercial and business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, private securities offerings, commercial financing transactions, and commercial contract drafting and negotiation. She has represented clients across all industries in structuring, negotiating, and documenting business transactions, with an emphasis on merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions. Kayla counsels public and private companies on all matters related to corporate governance and routinely drafts and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts. In addition, Kayla regularly works with investors and issuers for the purchase and sale of debt and equity securities in private placements under Regulation D and has advised clients through all stages of capital raises.

Mark E. Hornbeek is an attorney with experience representing a wide range of clients in complex civil litigation. His practice includes state and federal cases involving insurance matters, medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, lender liability, and contract and commercial disputes. Mark has extensive experience representing clients through all stages of litigation, including as first chair at trial and on appeal. While pursuing his law degree, Mark had the opportunity to work as a judicial intern for both the Honorable Robert E. Bacharach of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit as well as Justice Noma D. Gurich of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

Amy D. White is a litigation attorney with a state and federal practice focused on business and commercial litigation. She represents clients on a wide range of matters, including complex litigation, business and contractual disputes, general tort, products liability, construction disputes, wrongful death claims, personal injury, and premises liability. Her practice also includes appellate work, both at the state and federal level, including appearing before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Her career accomplishments have earned her recognition in the legal industry, including selection as a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America and recognition by Super Lawyers for Top 25 Women Lawyers in Oklahoma.
