Phillips Murrah is excited to kick off our sixth season as Oklahoma City Thunder Corporate Partners! Through our Blocks for Bucks campaign, we have enjoyed over a half-decade of turning “in your face” Thunder blocks into donations that are distributed directly back into our community.

What is Blocks for Bucks?

Attorneys and staff at Phillips Murrah are huge Thunder fans! To recognize OKC’s home team accomplishments in blocking shots, the Firm is donating $100 to the Thunder Cares Foundation for each blocked shot that Thunder players force at home games during the regular season. Since initiating Blocks For Bucks in 2017, Phillips Murrah has donated more than $94,000 to the Thunder Cares Foundation.

Thunder Cares Foundation logoThunder Cares’ community outreach projects are focused on making a positive impact in our community, and we are proud to play a part in supporting them through our corporate partnership with the Oklahoma City Thunder.  Thunder Cares supports the team’s community outreach projects, including Thunder-themed basketball courts in parks, schools and community centers across Oklahoma, as well as learning labs and activity rooms at organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma CountyCity Rescue Mission, and Positive Tomorrows.

“This partnership with the Oklahoma City Thunder is so much fun!” said Dave Rhea, Marketing Director at Phillips Murrah. “Beyond the excitement in the Paycom Center, this campaign allows us a way to help fund the great work that Thunder Cares does, which fits perfectly with our commitment to the community. We love supporting the Thunder team, and it’s a delight to have our brand associated with such a capable and celebrated organization.”
