Phillips Murrah proudly sponsored the Girls on the Run of Central Oklahoma pickleball tournament hosted at Chicken N Pickle on Sept. 24. This is the second year the Firm sponsored the tournament. (See last year’s story here.)
“Our second annual pickleball tournament was a huge success,” said Director Erica Halley Blackstock, who serves on the Girls on the Run Central of Oklahoma Board. “The support shown by the participants and sponsors, including Phillips Murrah, will allow Girls on the Run of Central Oklahoma to serve even more girls in the community, and our PM team did even better than last year, thanks to Jonna!” Jonna Vanderslice is also an attorney with Phillips Murrah.
From the Girls on the Run Facebook page: “Girls on the Run inspires 3rd through 8th grade girls to stay true to themselves and live free from societal stereotypes. Our 12-week after school curriculum weaves training for a 5K run with lessons that empower girls to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices and embrace their gifts.”
Girls on the Run is an international non-profit organization offering evidence-based programs that inspire all girls to build their confidence, kindness and decision making skills, with a local impact of 3,750 girls served in Central Oklahoma since 2010.
