Phillips Murrah attorney Kayla M. Kuri is featured in a video released by the Latino Community Development Agency about their 2023 scholarship recipients. According to the article we published on this website in May:
“This is Phillips Murrah’s third year participating in the LCDA scholarship program. Each year since 2021, our Firm has donated in recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month (September) and in memory of our beloved Director, Shannon W. Emmons, who dedicated years of service to the LCDA as a board member and volunteer. When Shannon passed away in 2018, she was serving as LCDA Vice Chairman and on their Governance Committee.”
On May 15, Kayla presented a check for $1000 on behalf of Phillips Murrah’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee to graduating Santa Fe South student, Adrian Ibarra Alonso, as a part of the LCDA scholarship program. During the presentation, Kayla was interviewed on video by the LCDA about the scholarship, what it means to our Firm, and what it means to her, personally.
