On Apr. 11, Phillips Murrah hosted an educational presentation and panel discussion as a part of its AM@PM Breakfast Forum series. Starting at 9 a.m., attorneys from the Firm’s Labor and Employment practice group addressed this year’s most pressing topics for employers as a part of the program, titled Top Employment Law Issues for 2023.
“Changing employment laws continue to challenge human resources professionals and corporate counsel,” said Phillips Murrah Director Janet A. Hendrick. “We appreciate the opportunity to discuss many of these issues with attendees at our AM@PM event and to answer many thoughtful questions.”
Hendrick and Michele C. Spillman from the Firm’s Dallas office, and Byrona J. Maule, Kathryn D. Terry, and Lauren Barghols Hanna from the Firm’s OKC office discussed topics that included:
- Remote workers
- Pay transparency
- Responding to off-duty employees’ conduct
- The FTC’s proposed ban on non-compete clauses
AM@PM Top Employment Law Issues for 2023 was held in the Infinity Room in Vast, located on the 50th floor of the Devon Tower. CLE and HRCI credits were available to attendees.
