Director Cody J. Cooper assumed his role as President of Oklahoma Bar County Association at OCBA’s Raising the Bar event at Devon Boathouse earlier this month.

“I became involved in the OCBA through the Young Lawyers’ Board and through that was able to see the impact the OCBA had in the OKC community and throughout its membership,” Cooper said. “I was also able to build relationships with other attorneys and judges who practice in Oklahoma County and I enjoyed and appreciated getting to speak colleagues outside a professional setting.”

OCBA members elected Cooper to the Board of Directors in 2018 and later voted to elect him Vice President in 2021. These roles follow his service as Past Chair of OCBA’s Young Lawyers Division through 2019.

“Through my experience and leadership in the Young Lawyers Board, I was able to take part in the OCBA Board of Directors and that increased my desire to eventually be President of the Board. I’m thankful and appreciative to have the OCBA’s members support me as President and I look forward to devoting my efforts to improving the OCBA and continuing its long tradition of community service and membership benefits.”

Cody J. Cooper is an experienced litigator and a licensed patent attorney who represents individuals and companies in a wide range of business litigation and intellectual property matters.
