Phillips Murrah is proud to be a sponsor for the inaugural “Work the Runway” fashion show, an event benefitting Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma’s Career Pathway Institute and the Mobile Job Connection Center and celebrating the organization’s 85 years of service.
The show is at 6 PM on August 20 at Oklahoma Contemporary and is to be an “interactive fashion experience.”
Goodwill provides job placement and training, and the introduction of the Mobile Job Connection Center gives Goodwill the capacity to travel to those who may be unable to participate in the Career Pathway Institute due to transportation limitations.
Known as a “second-chance” employer, a majority of Goodwill’s workforce has a non-violent criminal background. Goodwill’s partnership with the Department of Corrections provides a transitional pathway out of incarceration for these individuals.
The Job Connection Center provided services to 4,054 individuals in 2020. Read more about Goodwill’s mission on the organization’s website here.
