Charity golf event raises more than $90,000 for Rose State

[ MAY 31, 2012 — MIDWEST CITY, OKLA. ] – The 17th First National Bank Charity Golf Classic raised more than $90,000 for the Rose State College Foundation, event officials said.

The event is held every two years. This year’s classic was May 18 at John Conrad Golf Course in Midwest City.

Rose State College and First National Bank–Midwest City start collecting sponsorships and door prizes right after the first of the year and a lot of planning and preparation go into holding the "best tournament ever."

“All the hard work is well worth it when Dr. (Terry) Britton, president of Rose State College, is presented with the check for the foundation and this is the biggest check yet,” said Robert H. Croak, president and chairman of FNB.

The total of “$90,000.00 is a true record-breaker , but then we hope to say the exact same thing in 2014,” said Bill Croak of First National Bank, the tournament chairman.

This year’s event title sponsor was Midwest Regional Medical Center. Presenting sponsors were BancFirst, BancVue, Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home, Cole & Reed, First American Title, Fiserv, Gallagher Benefit Services Inc., Hudiburg Auto Group, ING Partners, OG&E, Pepsico Food Service, Phillips Murrah P.C., and The Baker Group.

Winning Teams were:

First Flight – First Place: BancFirst, Second Place: Barnes and Friederich Funeral Home, Third Place: Hudiburg Auto Group; Second Flight – First Place: Regional Physical Therapy, Second Place: The Baker Group, Third Place: Phillips Murrah Law Firm; Third Flight – First Place: McDowell Incentives, Second Place: Finance Point, Third Place: James Howell, The Country Lawyer.
