Phillips Murrah was once again a proud sponsor of the biannual Midtown Walkabout event in Oklahoma City’s vibrant Midtown District, which took place on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event was free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., drawing crowds for a day full of community, creativity, and local charm.
“Mingling with our friends and neighbors during Midtown Walkabout always makes it an exciting day,” said Dave Rhea, Phillips Murrah Marketing Director. “Phillips Murrah is a proud sponsor of Midtown’s district-wide open house event, and we love how much energy and enthusiasm the Midtown Alliance folks put into it.”
Held twice a year, typically in April and October, the event was moved to November this fall due to the weather. Midtown Walkabout is a lively celebration of everything that makes Midtown unique, inviting the community to explore the district, shop locally, savor delicious food, and connect with the neighborhood’s vibrant spirit. Local merchants offered special promotions, in-store activities, and exclusive discounts throughout the day, while families enjoyed free entertainment and programming across the district.
The President and CEO, Jennifer Nakayama, and the Downtown OKC team thoughtfully organized the event in collaboration with Midtown businesses.
