Congratulations to Phillips Murrah’s President and Managing Partner, Dawn M. Rahme, on being recognized by The Journal Record’s In the Lead: Women-Owned Businesses 2025 list, published on Oct. 6. The feature honors Oklahoma companies led by women who are redefining success in their fields.

Dawn clarified that Phillips Murrah P.C. is collectively owned by equity partners, a majority of which are women. She added that, although this shareholder percentage count has not always been the case, Phillips Murrah has built a culture that supports, encourages, and advances women as lawyers and leaders.
“Stepping into the role of Managing Partner felt less like becoming a ‘business owner’ and more like joining an incredible group of colleagues who are committed to our clients and to each other’s success,” Dawn said. “We trust the talent we see and give our attorneys meaningful roles early in their careers. That approach has helped us build confidence, develop strong leaders from within, and show that excellence comes from opportunity, not just experience.”
In the article, Dawn expressed hope that Phillips Murrah’s imprint reflects the power of investing in people:
“We’ve built a place where talented lawyers can grow, lead and contribute meaningfully to their communities, and in doing so, we’ve helped strengthen the businesses, families, and institutions in Oklahoma.”
