Phillips Murrah is excited to honor National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the contributions of our Hispanic attorneys and staff. As part of this celebration, our Dallas office participated in its 3rd Annual P|M Dallas Serving Day, by assembling snack bags for the children served by Jubilee Park and Community Center’s after-school programs. Along with the snack bags, the Firm presented a $1,000 donation in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
“We are honored to stand beside Jubilee Park and Community Center and contribute to their mission during Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond,” said Director Michele Spillman. “Their positive impact on community is undeniable and inspiring.”
Jubilee was founded in 1997 as an after-school program for children in the Jubilee Park Neighborhood in Southeast Dallas, an area with a 99 percent minority population. The majority of families are Hispanic working poor who are underserved in terms of education and health resources.
Jubilee Park’s mission is to spark revitalization and support for the Jubilee Park Neighborhood, a 62-block area in Southeast Dallas. Many families in this community face significant challenges, particularly in education and access to healthcare.
Jubilee Park addresses these needs by offering high-quality after-school and summer programs, helping families access critical resources, and promoting community engagement and cultural understanding.
