Phillips Murrah is proud to celebrate 2024 International Women’s Day. This year is extra special because our Firm has more than 50% women shareholders for the first time since our founding 38 years ago.
In honor of all the valued women here at Phillips Murrah and around the globe whose profound contribution to every aspect of society deserves recognition and celebration, we encouraged everyone to wear purple to the office – and for those who do not have any purple items of clothing, we provided purple ribbon pins.
Additionally, the Firm picked up the bill for lunch at one of two women-owned restaurants in The Parlor in Automobile Alley: Bad Nonna’s and Just Put and Egg on It.
“Today we recognize and honor the incredible women who continue to break barriers, inspire change, and shape the world around them,” said Phillips Murrah Attorney, Kelsey Chilcoat, who organized the #IWD2024 luncheon on behalf of our DEI Committee. “As we celebrate the strength and resilience of women around the world today, may we be reminded and encouraged to uplift, empower, and support each other every day. When we understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world. Happy International Women’s Day!”
