LITIGATION LEGAL ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

Phillips Murrah P.C. is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant with 3 years of experience to join our team. Experience in Family Law is preferred, but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, summonses, complaints, motions, subpoenas, etc. and correspondence of a legal nature in the practice of family law.
  • Perform various other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, screening callers, client interaction, composing and typing routine correspondence, reading and routing incoming mail, maintaining files and other records, scanning and photocopying materials, maintaining client information and keeping current with attorneys’ existing work for clients, document management, organization, and indexing, time entry and billing, and various other tasks as needed by the supervising attorneys in the practice of family law.
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with trial preparation, document production and review, discovery preparation/assistance, and other administrative needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma and 3 years related experience.
  • Strong computer and research skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Requires good attendance and reliability.

TRANSACTIONAL ATTORNEY

POSITION SUMMARY

Phillips Murrah is seeking a Transactional Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in commercial contract review and entity formation, structuring, and governance, along with experience in one or more transactional practice areas such as M&A, real estate, or finance. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of sophisticated transactions, with responsibilities tailored to the attorney’s experience and strengths.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across various industries.
  • Assist clients with entity formation, structuring, and corporate governance matters.
  • Depending on experience, support transactional matters in areas such as:
    • Mergers & Acquisitions: Conduct due diligence, structure transactions, and draft acquisition agreements.
    • Real Estate: Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents.
    • Finance: Advise on debt and equity financing transactions, including loan agreements and capital structures.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to support business transactions and strategic initiatives.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to Oklahoma Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • 3-6 years of transactional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong experience in commercial contract review and entity formation, structuring, and governance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional experience in M&A, real estate, or finance is preferred but not required.
