Are you a participant or an avid fan of any particular sport or team?
I love my University of Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball. Although both teams often break my heart!

What is your favorite ALFAI memory?
My favorite ALFAI memory is the 2022 Labor & Employment Seminar in Carmel, California at Carmel Valley Ranch. It was my first ALFAI Seminar and everyone was very welcoming. The resort was incredibly beautiful, the food was delicious, and I enjoyed driving Highway 1 with my colleague Kathryn Terry.

Please tell us about a favorite family vacation spot or an incredible trip you went on recently.
I am really looking forward to my honeymoon in late December in Lanai, Hawaii!

Why did you decide to become a lawyer?
I have always enjoyed problem-solving, reading and writing. Being able to problem-solve on a large scale and write narratives is what drew me to the legal profession.

What is the best career advice you’ve been given?
The best career advice I’ve been given is to learn something new every day. In practicing employment law, I get to live this advice out frequently. I really enjoy learning about a variety of industries by assisting clients with their employment-related issues.

Is there an ALFAI presentation you’ve participated in, or were an audience member at, that was particularly impactful?
This past September, I enjoyed speaking on “The Future of the Jury Pool” panel at the Future Leaders Forum Seminar in Louisville, Kentucky. Kate Martz, Molly Lee and Hannah Schmidt were wonderful co-panelists (turned friends!) to work with and our audience participation made the panel especially enjoyable and informative.
