OBA presents awards

[NOVEMBER 7, 2011 – TULSA, Okla.] – The Oklahoma Bar Association presented 21 awards at its 107th annual meeting Nov. 2-4 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Tulsa.

Award recipients from the Oklahoma City area are Donald W. Davis Sr., Trailblazer Award; Jim Drummond, Norman, Maurice Merrill Golden Quill Award; Stanley Evans, Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service; Judge William J. Holloway Jr., Neil E. Bogan Professionalism Award; Philip F. Horning, Outstanding Service to the Public Award; Brooke Smith Murphy, John E. Shipp Award for Ethics; Oklahoma County Law Library led by Venita Hoover, Liberty Bell Award; Robert N. Sheets, Alma Wilson Award; Robert G. Spector, Norman, Maurice Merrill Golden Quill Award; Noel Tucker, Edmond, Earl Sneed Continuing Legal Education Award; and Phil Tucker, Edmond, Earl Sneed Continuing Legal Education Award.

Award recipients from the Tulsa area are Molly Aspan, Outstanding Young Lawyer Award; William R. Grimm, Joe Stamper Distinguished Service Award; Barbara McHugh Moschovidis, University of Oklahoma Outstanding Law School Senior Student Award; Oklahoma Bar Association Civil Procedure and Evidence Code Committee, chaired by Jim Milton, Golden Gavel Award; and Judge Millie Otey, Award of Judicial Excellence.

Other award winners are Canadian County Bar Association, Outstanding County Bar Association; Cherokee County Bar Association, Hicks Epton Law Day Award; Paige Masters, Lamont, Oklahoma City University Outstanding Law School Senior Student Award; Russell Ramzel, Bartlesville, University of Tulsa Outstanding Law School Senior Student Award; and Washington County Bar Association, Outstanding County Bar Association.
