The Friday Paper reports that Senator V. Glenn Coffee, attorney with the firm, recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Higher Education Alumni Council of Oklahoma (HEACO). This is his fourth award from HEACO, an honor bestowed upon “individuals with a significant, outstanding career of service in support of higher education.” Coffee, who is also the Co-President Pro-Tempore of the State Senate, stated that he is education is integral to creating a higher quality of life for Oklahomans, as an investment “in higher education is an investment in Oklahoma in every way.”

Senate Co-President Pro Tempore Glenn Coffee has received his fourth honor from the Higher education Council of Oklahoma (HEACO). This time, he has been selected for the council’s highest honor – the Lifetime Achievement award.
The honor is given to those individuals with a significant, outstanding career of service in support of higher education. HEACO has also honored Coffee for his support of higher education with the Friend of Higher Education Award in 2005 and 2003, and the Court of Convictions Award in 2002.
“I am very grateful to HEACO for this award. Supporting and improving Oklahoma’s higher education institutions is fundamental to efforts and to increase our per capita income and create a higher quality of life for our citizens,” said Coffee, R-Oklahoma City.
Coffee was formally honored during a ceremony at the Nigh University Center at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Coffee has degrees from two Oklahoma higher education institutions. Senator Coffee received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northeastern State University in 1989 and was named Outstanding Senior. He received his law degree from the University f Oklahoma College of Law in 1992.
“Creating the best higher education system possible will enable, will give our children the competitive education they need to success, and each of those in turn will fuel the creation of top-paying jobs in developing areas of research and in other related fields,” Coffee said.
